Dedication

To Sister Mary Celestine, R.S.M., Ph.D., former presi-
dent of College Misericordia, we gratefully dedicate the
1965 edition of the Teachers' Bulletin.

It was during Sister's presidency that the college
shield was changed to include the motto mulier fortis and
perhaps no one better exemplifies the qualities of a valiant
woman than does Sister Mary Celestine. Understanding,
devotion to duty, and a respect for the individual character-
ize Sister and demand our imitation.

Foreword

College Misericordia presents the education students
of the class of 1965. The purpose of this publication is to
introduce to school administrators the members of this
class who may apply for teaching positions in their re-
spective school districts.

The gualifications of the students are included along
with a list of their individual activities. A key to abbrevia-
tions used for club activities will be found in the back of
the bcok.

Further information may be obtained by writing the
Placement Office, College Misericordia, or by contacting
individual students.

The quality of mercy is not strained,

It dropeth as the gentle rain from heaven

Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest;

It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.

Tis mightiest in the mightiest. It becomes

The throned monarch better than his crown.

His scepter shows the force of temporal power,

The attribute to awe and majesty

Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings.

But mercy is above this sceptered sway,

It is enthroned in the hearts of kings.

It is an attribute to God himself,

And earthly power doth then show likest God's

When mercy seasons juslice.

—William Shakespeare
